Funeral Escorts Motorcycle Officers are key to keeping a funeral procession in order as mourners make their way from a service to a cemetery. Some funerals have family and friends coming from out of state and are not familiar with the area. We place funeral stickers on the front and back of vehicles to remind people that we are in procession. We also travel with our headlights and emergency flashers on, it’s all about safety.

Funeral Escorts are counted out per numbers of cars in the procession; one escort per 12 is a handy rule of thumb.  Among duties are mapping an optimal and safe route, distributing funeral stickers to mark cars in the procession, and looking official and respectful, usually through uniforms.

Funeral escort officers are trained to specifications by Los Angeles County and are certified by the California Highway Patrol.
